Art can be expressed in many different ways. Some sing. Some dance. Some paint. David Garibaldi performs freestyle paintings while listening to music. I found Garibaldi to be an inspiration. I have never seen anyone do what Garibaldi does. It just goes to show you that if you put your mind to something, the sky is the limit. If you have respect for art you will be able to appreciate this video. It's motivating to see Garibaldi working because you can see that he was made to paint. Some talents we are simply just born with. These talents shouldn't be ignored. Find whatever it is that you love to do in life and make a career out of it. Nobody will be able to tell you anything once you're happy. . . . Do What You Love And Love What You Do.

150 Friends
In Robin Dunbar's essay "You Gotta Have 150 Friends", Dunbar makes the point that no matter what Facebook allows us to do, we can only maintain around 150 relationships. That's online and offline. I agree with Dunbar because I'm only close to about 50 people and that feels like a full time job. I can't imagine what 150 would feel like. Some people have 2,000 friends on Facebook, but out of those 2,000 friends how many do you think they stay in close contact with? Dunbar says the extra people you are friends with are just voyeurs looking into your daily life. I would much rather have a close group of friends that I know well then have 2,000 friends that I don't know at all.

Differences At Reardan
I chose
to write my analysis on the cartoon on Pg. 57. It’s titled White vs. Indian. On
the left side there is a picture of a White boy and on the right there is a picture
of an Indian boy that looks like Arnold.
This cartoon shows the many differences between the Whites and Indians. The
“White” boy has a Ralph Lauren shirt on, Timex wristwatch, Tommy Hilfiger
khakis, and the latest Air Jordans. Aside from the material things, he also has
hope, a bright future, and positive role model. However, the “Indian” boy on
the right is wearing sneakers from Safeway, no watch, and a shirt from Kmart.
Aside from the material things, he has a vanishing past, a family history of
diabetes and cancer, and a bone-crushing reality. This cartoon really shows
what Arnold has to go through everyday attending a school where he’s the only
Indian.
Stolichnaya / Visa
The women in the Stoli ad are there for looks and fantasy. The male audience sees this ad and automatically thinks that if you drink Stoli or order Stoli at the bar, you will get beautiful women. The target audience for this ad is men ages 20-40. The women in the ad are having a night out at the bar.
The Visa ad is kind of confusing. The ad itself has nothing to do with credit cards at all. I would'nt have known it was a Visa ad if it didn't say Visa. Visa is using one of the most common ways to sell a product... Sex. To me, the ad is saying if you want to go get tattoos you have the right to, and your Visa card will always be there for you whenever you need it.
